Today I’d like to mention the happy couple from England.
That is William and Kate tied the knot on April 29th. Like many of you I also saw tidbits of the royal wedding.
By the way; Tie the knot is an old expression which means to get married. In ancient times knots were used in ceremonies as a symbol of unbreakable pledges.
Lastly I’d like to welcome you to our monthly event on 5/28 “Beer Garden”.

親愛なるみなさまへ
今日はイギリスの幸せなカップルに思いをはせてみたいと思います。
もちろん、ウィリアム王子とケイト妃が４月２９日に絆を結んだということです。
多くのみなさんと同じように、私もロイヤルウェディングをちょこちょこと見ました。
ところで、”Tie the knot”とは結婚を意味する古い表現です。
大昔にはひもの結び目(Knot)は壊れない固い約束の象徴として儀式に使われていたのです。
最後にパラビオンからみなさんを次のイベントとして”ビアガーデンパーティー”で歓迎したいと思います。
