The other day I received Olive made cookies from Shodo Island.
They were so delicious and sweet not sour.
I always imagine olives in a jar.
The sweets were made in Shodo island using olives grow locally.
In fact The island is famous for being the first in Japan to successfully cultivate olives 100 years ago.
Olive trees proliferate on the island and olive-related merchandise is quite popular with tourists.
Shodo-shima is also known for its soy sauce, wild monkeys, and beaches. In addition, tourists are attracted to a miniature version of the 88-temple Shikoku Pilgrimage.
So the next time I’m in the area I will surely stop in for a bite.
