Welcome to Super Bowl weekend !!
My potato chips, pop corn and cold drinks are ready to go !! One of the greatest events for sport enthusiast around the world will take place in New Jersey televised on Monday in Japan .
Many people often gather around the TV in households across the US to enjoy one the best past times of many school children to adults .
I remember growing up and playing ball almost everyday from dusk to dawn especially during our summer break .
It was a good way to enjoy with friends and stay out of trouble .
We sometimes betted for Cokes. So the loser had to buy the winners a bottle of Coke .
After the game we would all run down to the local corner store ran by a lovely Chinese family that used to teach us some words .
It was all Greek to us then but now I appreciate
those words in my present job here at Par Avion Language School .
Those were the days !

スーパーボウルの週末にようこそ!!
私のポテトチップス、ポップ・コーンと冷たい飲物は、もう準備ＯＫです!!
月曜日に日本でもテレビ放送される予定の世界中のスポーツ・ファンのための最も大きなイベントの１つ、スーパーボウルは、ニュージャージーで行われます。
この時間をともに楽しもうと子供から大人まで全米の多くの人々が家庭のテレビのまわりによく集まります。
私も、特に我々の夏休みの間は夜明けから夕暮れまでほとんど毎日ボール遊びをして育ちました。
それは、友人と楽しい時間を過ごすのにとてもいい方法で、トラブルとも無縁でした。
私たちは、時々コーラを賭けたりしました。
負けた人は買った人にコーラを１本おごらなければなりませんでした。
試合が終わるとみんなで中国人の感じのいい家族が経営していた街角のお店に走って行ったものです。
その中国人はいくつか中国の言葉を教えてくれました。
その時はさっぱりわかりませんでしたが、
（It’s a Greek:それはギリシャ語→さっぱりわからないというイディオム）!
今では私のパラビオンでの仕事においてそれらの言葉に感謝しています。
あの頃はよかったなあ～
（Those were the days.:なつかしいというイディオム）!
