Thanksgiving Day is a holiday celebrated primarily in the United States and Canada.
Thanksgiving is celebrated each year on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States.
So Thanksgiving day of this year is 24th November in U.S.
Thanksgiving in Canada falls on the same day as Columbus Day in the United States.
Because of the longstanding traditions of the holiday, the celebration often extends to the weekend that falls closest to the day it is celebrated.
In the United States, certain kinds of food are traditionally served at Thanksgiving meals. Firstly, baked or roasted turkey is usually the featured item.
Tofurkey is also served for vegetarians.
Tofurkey (a portmanteau of tofu and turkey) is faux turkey – a loaf or casserole of vegetarian protein, usually made from FU (wheat protein) or tofu (soybean protein) with a stuffing made from grain(s) and/or bread flavored with a broth and seasoned with herbs and spices.

サンクスギビング
みなさん、こんにちは！！
今年のアメリカのサンクスギビングは今日、１１月２４日です。
サンクスギビングは主にアメリカとカナダで祝われる祝日です。
カナダでは毎年１０月の第２月曜日、アメリカでは第４木曜日にお祝いをします。
カナダのサンクスギビングの日はアメリカのコロンブスデーと同じ日です。
祝日の長い伝統にのっとって、お祝いは一番近い週末まで伸ばすこともよくあります。
サンクスギビングのメインディッシュといえばもちろん七面鳥の丸焼きですが、ベジタリアン向けには、七面鳥を模して豆腐や麩を蒸し焼きにした食品（トーファーキー：トウフとターキーを組み合わせた造語など）も市販されているんだそうです。
まだターキーを食べたことのない方は今年こそトライしてみてはいかがでしょうか？
