This is why. The YKK stands for Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha (say that five times fast,ha-ha). In 1934 Tadao Yoshida founded Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha (translated Yoshida Industries Limited). This company is now the worlds foremost zipper manufacturer, making about 90% of all zippers in over 206 facilities in 52 countries. In fact, they not only make the zippers, they also make the machines that make the zippers.
So remember, the next time you “zip your fly” YKK did it first…

気になりませんか？
今日、私はなぜジッパーはＹＫＫの文字が
入っているのかを知りました。
ＹＫＫは”吉田工業株式会社（早口で５回言って
みよう！）”の頭文字です。吉田工業株式会社は
１９３４年に吉田忠雄氏が創立しました。
この会社は今では世界のジッパー製造の主流と
なり、５２カ国の２０６以上の工場で世界のジッパー
の約９０％を製造しています。
実は、ジッパーを作っているだけでなく、ジッパーを
製造する機械も作っているのです。
だから、今度あなたの”社会の窓を閉める時”
それを初めてしたのはＹＫＫだったことを思い出して
ください。。。
